| Biography |
| I come from an artistic family, with my father being a producer/director and mother dancing for American Ballet Theater. My childhood includes memories of helping my dad on shoots and watching from backstage as my mom danced in the spotlight. When I was twelve I picked up my father's film camera and began shooting everything around me. I fell in love with it, and that led me to eventually getting a degree in photojournalism from Cal State Fullerton. Through my photojournalism I have had the opportunity to do everything from working with nonprofits in Romania, to covering the Houston Astro Dome during hurricane Katrina. My beginning in wedding photography began during my first year of college when I was asked to shoot a friends wedding. I really enjoyed it and wanted to learn more. From there I began to assist established wedding photographers in my area and eventually started shooting more and more weddings on my own. With each wedding I was learning so much and having a lot of fun doing it. In 2007 I made the decesion to start shooting weddings full time and I haven’t looked back since. Now based in Phoenix Arizona, Carson Photography is available to shoot anywhere in the world. |
